  • No GEGB meeting on Thursday, October 8 due to conference conflict.

Business

Discussion/Overview of GE Site Visit

Suggestions: Who should the reviewers meet with during the site visit?

  • Dean's Council - Individual or Group meeting(s)?
  • How can the deans get feedback from department heads and chairs?
  • Should a group of chairs involved with GE be selected for a meeting?
  • Faculty and GE faculty - both lecturers and tenure track
  • Should they talk to previous GE Chairs? (Possible small group for lunch)
  • Should they speak with advising directors and the Mustang Success Center?
  • Could specific GE classes be selected as an opportunity to talk with students? 
  • Should the reviewers talk to alumni or employers?
  • Career Services - to showcase employer/alumni feedback
  • ASI, Clubs as a way to reach students
  • Should there be an open forum for faculty, staff, or students?
  • GEGB as a group
  • The reviewers have two days (Thursday and Friday) so we will try to utilize the time as effectively as possible.

Curricular Issues/New GE Course Proposals

  • GEGB should review the two course proposals through the Academics Tab/Portal and we will discuss at future meetings.
  • CRP 325 Biking and Walking the City
